About Humanitas

Humanitas is a young, creative, grassroots charity that has worked for more than a decade to protect and care for some of the world’s most vulnerable children. We run medical, educational and foster care projects in Romania and Africa and more recently we have sent medical teams to deliver urgent treatment to refugees living in the European and Bangladesh border camps.

Your support means the world to us - and even more to the children in our care. We have seen for ourselves the transformation that we have made to individual lives - from children who have been kept in appalling conditions in state care in Romania and are now living in loving foster homes, to those living in poverty in rural Ghana who had never seen a book and are now reading and writing.

We are a grassroots charity which means that every donation counts. We are there, working on the ground in areas of the world where there is no government or charitable aid. Whether it's our social workers in Romania, our teachers in Ghana or our medical team working in the refugee camps, your support enables them to carry out their work and help the children who need it the most.
